The picture doesn't tell the whole story. We were dripping, soaking wet. Really. Wet. Soaking. Feet squishing, hair dripping, shorts sagging wet. But do you see we're still smiling? Oh hell yes, we had fun. It had to be the worst weather possible for the Charlottesville Fall Classic 10k. But we laughed, stepped in mud, squished through road rivers and had a blast. Donovan is one of the best running buddies ever. She kept me going, telling me who we were going to beat. Well, she beat them, I came in close behind. I wasn't last though. Almost, but not. I wouldn't have cared if I was. I just finished running 6.2 miles in 1:17:47. 2 minutes and 13 seconds faster than I thought I could. YAY!

Hey! Congrats on your unexpectedly good time! I did my own 10K race on 19th Oct and did a personal record myself. Such a great feeling! I had the same smile on my face after the run :D Your entry pretty much reminds me of how I felt then. Thanks for bringing back the unforgattable! :D
Congratulations to both you and Donovan.
Yay! Way to go! Can I just say, though...that you all don't LOOK drenched and soaked and icky! You look good!
I can't wait to run my next 10K. I know I will be able to blow my first (and only) 10K time out of the water, if I maintain my current training!
Congratulations!
