A breakthrough!

I can't believe that I finally did it! I ran 5.5 miles today with no stopping. Now, I'm not saying that it was easy. Not by any means. There were hills, more hills, and then some more hills. I left my Garmin at home, so I have no idea of my pace or time. Quite honestly, I'm fine with that. I think if I had it I would have been checking it. A lot. Sometimes I feel like I do better without it.

So, this will be my goal. Try my darndest to run with no stopping. All runs. I did it last week too. And for my training runs during the week. I've got to remind myself...........it's Long, Slow, Distance. Got it. Especially the slow part.

Oh, today is Granny's birthday. 97 years old. Another reason to stay healthy. She's ready for cake!!!

Congratulations! You are amazing. I cannot seem to get past the run/walk mentality that has overtaken my brain. Send secrets my way!

Oh wow, CONGRATS! You rock! I couldn't get past 3 miles for the LONGEST! I thought I'd never do it! Great job, way to never give up. And since you did 5.5, it'll be so much easier next time and 6 is even closer!!!! GO GIRL!

Happy Birthday, Grandma! That's awesome! What's her secret?

Granny's secret is simple. She doesn't put up with any bullsh**,and she loves to laugh. She's a whisp of a woman, but don't mess with her!
