Ahh, vacation is over. I don't think we'll be visiting Pigeon Forge again any time soon. It was not what we expected. Way too commercialized way too congested. We came home needing another vacation just so we could rest up. Uh, that's not happening!
On a different note, training is going really well. It was great to get out there and see this sea of women with one goal in sight. I had 2 very strong little girls with me yesterday. Maddie stayed back with her friend Katie who has done no training during the week. Now her mom wants Katie to run with us during the race. Uh, she's got to train for it. I'm not going to hold my girl back! Maddie should be able to run her own race, not walk b/c her friend wants to. Gah! It'll work out. It has to!

Looks like you guys had fun, even though I TOTALLY understand how you felt about Pigeon Forge. It's fun for a day, IMO, but you have to fork over so much money to do this and that. If you guys ever have the opportunity or desire, go back and keep your focus in the Smoky Mountain National Park area. Stay in PF or in Gatlinburg, but spend your days in the mountains. There are plenty of easy trails that would be safe for the kids and it's just such a sight! (BTW, I'm Kriston Ashley from RW forums!)
